Money Series Part 3: The Perfect Business Card

500 Dong say "read sagesex.com"

What makes the perfect business card? It’s affordable, everybody likes to accept it, it’s original and easy to remember, it’s beautifully designed, extremely durable, nobody throws it away, but everybody likes to pass it on. Now what has all these properties? Money! It’s cheap (in Vietnam), everybody wants it, nobody is expecting a business card made from money, banknotes are beautiful and colorful and very durable, nobody ever throws them away, and it spreads on its own!

Now that we have clarified how to procure large amounts of money, today’s installment is about using them to spread wonderful messages for art, fame, and honor. Ever tried labelling money? Well, we did. It doesn’t work too well on 500 Dong bills and it takes forever. Until Julian had the breakthrough idea: We needed a stamp. Said and done. Let’s go to the stampmaker!

Naturally the message is important when you want to distribute it in millions in a strange land. It has to be simple enough to be understood in Asian English, but at the same time it has to make optimal use of the hypnotic power of money and Ho Chi Minh. Thus, a command: “read www.sagesex.com”.

The stamping method is so efficient that by now we are swimming in our own money business cards. Our business card account balance is about 1000 bills even though we freehandedly give out money to the populace, scatter it in excentric art events (more on that in the coming days) and almost always pay with it. The following video makes it clear: If we continue in this vain, we’ll have to start printing it.
