Sagesex discovers: The cheapest alcoholic drink in the world
We thought we had found a truly cheap and disgusting drink in a so-called Thai whisky (rather something like Thai rum, but they call anything whisky) without any latin writing on the soft drink bottles it comes in for about 70 Baht (about $2). Cambodia proved us wrong:
This wonderful und mysterious drink that carries only Cambodian script is available from local fridges for the tourist price of 1500 Riel (about $0.40). It contains an unknown yet from the taste rather substantial amount of alcohol. The taste is truly repulsive, somewhere between Thai ginseng and Thai whisky, and we’re still working on finishing that half liter bottle. As soon as we have learned the Khmer script we hope to learn more about this fascinating drink. Cheers!

Soweit ich die Inschrift richtig deute, handelt es sich um ein Mittel zum Motortuning für Moppeds bis 50 ccm. Aber vielleicht kann man ja einen Puli auch zum Blindenhund ausbilden…..

Erinnert mich ein wenig an den chinesischen Schlangenalkohol, selbstgebraut, welcher – wie ich nach dem Trinken erfahren durfte aus einer überfahrenen Schlange in der Garage des Brauers und zahlreichen Gartenkräutern versetzt mit Regenwasser gewonnen wurde (Dauer der Destillierung über ein Jahr).
