How to bankroll a dream life in paradise

Have you ever dreamt about just going away? Not just two weeks of holiday, but something like a new life? To go somewhere warm, where everything is different? For a few months, years, or forever? I have, and I think that you have, too. But I have made it true – my brother and I are traveling across South East Asia for the rest of this year . And what’s coming after that? Let’s say, there are some ideas …

We have been on the road for four weeks and we can’t say we’re starving. We eat the most astonishing delicacies whenever we so fancy, drive anywhere we want to, get a massage from time to time, have our laundry done for us … in short, we are well. Sometimes we do work as well, in offices like this one:

So you think “Allright, so he’s rich. Maybe I’ll be able to afford this someday if only I work hard enough”? Think again! You are just as rich. Ups and Downs on the Way to Paradise

Joe turns off the tarred main road. The little road through the jungle is not even half as wide anymore. Soon it becomes a dirt track, now some road holes appear, now some ditches in the middle of the track and now its getting steeper. Joe, by the way, is our 125cc Honda Dream, that has helped us drench the ground of Koh Pangan with our sweat and blood every day until today. We are on our way to Had Yuan, which according to a friend of ours (thank you Cathi!) is supposed to be the most beautiful beach in Thailand. Read the rest of this entry »
